Australian Gothic

Gothic references in art and literature always seem to me to contain contrasts; old and young, mad and sane, mystery and revelation. I use some of those contrasts, and others in this series. There are contrasts of textures, especially skin and weathered surfaces, contrasts of light and shadow. and contrasts of decline and vigour.
